ST. FAUSTINA #224-1

Updated: Feb 28, 2022

To suffer without complaining, to bring comfort to others and to drown my own sufferings in the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus!

DIARY, 224

  • Do I suffer without complaining?

  • Do I instead console others, and melt my own sufferings in the Most Holy Heart of Jesus?

This is a great tip for us, especially for a beginner like me. I do not know how to suffer and I do not like suffering in the way Faustina is talking. Nither when Jesus nor Mary gives the explanation of suffering, I gasp thinking about my own life. I am just learning to grasp the Cross. I realized that without the Love of the Cross I would not move forward and how important this Love is.

So, I try to remember and thank God for some suffering. Not all. Most of the time, my first impulse is rejection, but then, I think and realize that I need to change my way of thinking. I try to remember to be glad. It is not the same to be grateful and thanking God for the suffering. To connect in own pain with Jesus’ pain on the cross is different than to say "thank you" for my pain, at least for me yet.

Beloved Faustina, please, help me. Put in a good word for me not to walk in the dark, on my own path. You had so much Love of the Cross in your heart! Teach me and those women who also have such a desire how to embrace and love spiritual, emotional and physical pain.

Thank you, Sister Faustina, for your intercession.

Thank you, Lord Jesus.

JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU.
